Refining The Shield

Are you a fan of Game of Thrones? Well I am too. I love the detailed imagery, from the costumes to the banners waving in the wind on the battlefield. One of the places where you see great imagery is on the shields held by the knights. The shields are different shapes, sizes, and colors, with many different designs, each one saying so much about the combatant behind it. Telling a story about their family, and history. The yellow field and three dogs of House Clegane, the crimson field and golden lion of Lannister, awesome, right? So I have been building foam swords for a couple of years now, and I have been wanting to expand out to other items that would be expected in a medeival melee skirmish. A couple of months ago, I was working on another project that required a different material than I normally use, foam sheets from camping mats. I started to think about those shields, with their own devices emblazoned upon them. Soon I started experimenting with different materials, and using a combination of 3D printing, sewing, and cutting, I have created a solid shield to go with the Bokken Baton foam swords. I'll soon have them for sale soon. I layed out the pictures to show the construction process. Let me know what you think.
