I just finished working on a couple more designs of the Talking Brix Saddles. The Speech-Language Pathologist that that I have been building them for, needed a way for a child with very limited control of their body to be able to press the button while it's turned toward them at a 45 degree angle. The angle allows the button to be more visible to the child, making it easier for the therapist to draw the child's attention to it. I added a silicone rubber base to resist moving on the table.
She also needed a saddle that fit onto the arm of a wheelchair. This particular saddle required a lid that was childproof, so I added clips onto the sides that need two hands to open. This one also has a silicone rubber base, as well as adjustable straps. I'm thinking of maybe coating the straps with rubber to make it more secure.
